Would it be stupid to get a Motorola Droid now since the Droid X and Droid 2 are coming out soon?

Would it be stupid to get a Motorola Droid now since the Droid X and Droid 2 are coming out soon? I just got one and I really like it. I kinda wish I spring for the Incredible, but I like the Droid, but do you think it was stupid to get it since the Droid X and Droid 2 are coming and the original is basically being replaced? Will this still be a good phone for the next 2 years?

Personally yes I think so… I would say return it if the X isn’t out within 30 days, since thats how long you have to return or exchange the Droid. Then you can decide if you like the style of the X more, or if you prefer the Droid. If you like the X, get it.. If you like the Droid better, wait for the 2. Either way, you may wanna go with a 1 year contract instead of a 2 year. The phone will be more expensive, but you’ll be able to upgrade after 10 months instead of 20, and you can get a 4G phone next year
Whilst I love a physical keyboard, after handling the Samsung Captivate for roughly 15 minutes, it’s onerous to move back. At this time I’m debating whether or not to visit Verizon for the Droid X, pass to Sprint for the EVO, or stick with AT&T for the Captivate…selections, decisions.
